Shibari

When we set out to create our first yoyo, we knew that we wanted to make something different. Something that would really set us apart and bring something to the yoyo world that is not available elsewhere. This is where our flagship model “Shibari” comes into the light.
The term Shibari comes from the beautiful art of Japanese rope work, and with the Shibari, we aim for the player to be able to create beautiful string work of their own. The Shibari combines organic rounded rims for a comfortable feel in the hand, with a low wall and slope that allows for a modern V shape feel. The weight is pushed to the edge to allow for a dense and smooth feel, while still remaining light and maneuverable that can be both competition ready, or everyday casual trick creation ready. The inner spike nub allows for a throwback feel and “matador” trick creation. Truly, the Shibari combines old and new into a throw that can handle anything you throw at it. This is a piece of art that is meant to create art.
Each yoyo comes in a special box with hand painted Japanese kanji from our own designer Mei. each box is a a piece of art in itself with no two being exactly alike.
